-Born Eileen Edwards on August 28th 1965, to Clarence and Sharon Edwards in Windsor Ontario.

-Jerry Twain met and married the single Sharon later on in life, thus the Twain name.

-Raised in Timmins Ontario.

-Second oldest of 5 brothers & sisters.

-Jerry & Sharon unfortunately died in a car crash in 1987, Shania was only 21. Shania then raised her brothers and sisters.

-Shania's brothers and sisters are: Jill, Carrie-Ann, Mark, and Darryl.

-Shania has said "Would you like fries with that?" more than once, she is a former MacDonalds employee.

-Shania {Then still Eileen} worked as a musical act at the Deerhurst resort in the Timmins area. She met a fellow employee named Shania and thought it was such a beautifull name she used it later on.

-Her first album (Shania Twain) only contained 1 of her own songs, "God Aint Gonna Getcha for that" due to her labels insitence on using "professionally written" {in their minds} material.

-The Woman In Me was where all her own songs debuted (except "You Win My Love" written by husban John "Mutt" Lange). This album gained Shania international success and sold around 12 million worldwide.

-Robert John "Mutt" Lange used Shania's first album to work out to. He then wished to meet her.

-Shania first met Mutt on the phone. They became good friends this way, and started sharing ideas of songs on the phone.

-"Home Aint Where His Heart Is Anymore" was the very first song Shania sang to Mutt on the phone. Thus it got #1 spot on the album.

-Shania and Mutt first met in person at 1993's Fan Fair.

-While working on "The Woman In Me" they fell in love. They married on December 28th 1993.

-The Woman In Me may be one of the most expensive country albums ever produced!

-Shania's name for Mutt is love, and Mutt's name for Shania is Woody, because her old hairdo reminded him of Woody Woodpecker.

-Shania has been a vegetarian since she Married Mutt.

-It took a 5 hour fitting to get the black velvet pants in the "I'm Outta Here" video to fit Shania's specifications!

-On September 15th, Shania's first single {Love Gets Me Every Time} from her 3rd album {Come On Over} was released to radio. By Early October it had made impressive gains on the Charts, arriving at #1 on CMT Canada.

-Shania has a German Sheppard named Tim that goes everywhere with her, and also doubles as her guard dog.

-Shania is designing her tour own tour bus for her '98 tour. She will also bring along one of her horses {retired show horse, so its acustomed to travel} with her on tour.

-Shania's "Don't Be Stupid" video only took about 10 hours to film, as opposed to the average 14 hours for a video.
